CANOBIE LAKE PARK IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF FULL-TIME RIDE MECHANICS
The Ride Mechanic will inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and rehab amusement rides and their subsystems. This individual will ensure all rides and equipment comply with all Canobie Lake Park Corp. and equipment manufacturers’ operating standards. The Ride Mechanic will perform visual and auditory inspections of rides and attractions. The Ride Mechanic will maintain proper records for all maintenance and inspections performed.
This position requires a background in machine repair, including the ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical systems. Two plus years experience with mechanical/electro-mechanical maintenance on aircraft, automotive or industrial machinery. Previous theme park experience is a plus. Candidates must possess a strong work ethic and safety sensitivity. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent; additional training or background experience in welding, machine shop and understanding of electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics and control systems is beneficial. Candidates must possess the ability to read, write and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the key duties of the Ride Mechanic. The Ride Mechanic must have the ability to climb and work at various heights and perform heavy lifting. Candidates must have a willingness and ability to work varied shifts and schedules, including nights and weekends. Candidates must provide their own hand tools, have a valid driver’s license and submit to a criminal background check. Wages are commensurate with experience.
