AMUSEMENT RIDE MECHANIC (Full-Time)

Key Duties

The Ride Mechanic will inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish amusement rides and their subsystems. This individual will ensure all rides and equipment comply with all Canobie Lake Park Corp. and equipment manufacturers' operating standards and requirements. The Ride Mechanic will perform visual and auditory inspections of rides and attractions. The Ride Mechanic will maintain proper records for all inspections, maintenance and repairs performed.

Requirements

This position requires a background in machine repair, including the ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical systems. Two plus years experience with mechanical/electro-mechanical maintenance on aircraft, heavy equipment or industrial machinery. Previous theme park experience is a plus. Candidates must possess a strong work ethic and safety sensitivity. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent; additional training or background experience in welding, machining and the understanding of electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics and control systems is beneficial. Candidates must possess the ability to read, write and communicate in English to sufficiently perform the key duties of the Ride Mechanic.

The Ride Mechanic must have the ability and be willing to:
- Climb and work at various heights up to 85 feet.
- Perform heavy lifting
- Work in all weather conditions
- Work varied shifts and schedules, including nights and weekends.
- Provide hand tools.
- Possess a valid driver's license

Candidates will be required to submit to and pass the following:
- Criminal background check.
- Motor vehicle operators check.
- Pre employment physical.
- Pre employment drug test.

Wages will be commensurate with experience.

OVERNIGHT SECURITY OFFICER (Full-Time)

CANOBIE LAKE PARK IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF FULL-TIME OVERNIGHT SECURITY OFFICER.

Overnight Security Officers work in various locations on the premises, maintaining a safe and secure environment that enables our Guests and Cast Members to experience the magic of our Park.

Types of Security roles include walking patrol, motor patrol, fixed-post patrol, and bicycle patrol. In all of these roles, responsibilities include writing and inputting reports, responding to radio calls as needed, calling in safety concerns and completing visual inspections.

All Security Officers are also trained in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) procedures to respond to emergencies as needed.

REQUIREMENTS: Security Officer’s must meet the following minimum requirements for consideration:
1. Understand the importance of being guest-centric;
2. Be at least 18 years of age;
3. High school graduate/GED required, some college preferred;
4. Valid driver’s license;
5. Good moral character;
6. Ability to successfully pass a comprehensive criminal and motor vehicle background investigation. Drug screening may also be required.

Criminal Justice students and those with prior experience in the security field are encouraged to apply. Open availability preferred, evenings & weekends required. SECURITY CAPTAIN - Adminstrative Services & Traffic (Full-Time)
Canobie Lake Park is seeking to fill the full-time position of: Security Captain -- Administrative Services and Traffic

Duties of Position:

Reporting directly to the Security & EMS Manager, this is a uniformed and highly visible position within the company. Manages the administration and operations of the Administrative Services and Traffic (traffic/parking and fleet maintenance) within the Security & EMS Department. Provides lead direction to Security Supervisors (Sergeants and/or Lieutenants), Security Officers, and Parking Lot Attendants. Performs duties of Security Officer within scope of assignment. Observes and reports activities and incidents, providing for the security and safety of guests and cast members (employees). Conducts periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment. Preserves order and may act to enforce policies, regulations and directives pertaining to guests, cast members, and premises.

Essential Functions:

1. Performs the duties of a Security Officer in accordance with post orders and company policy.
2. Provides lead direction; acts to ensure that post orders are followed, that established rounds are completed, and that adequate reports are filed; notifies proper authorities and management in emergency situations.
3. May counsel and discipline Security personnel as appropriate; seeks advice from management or designated representative as appropriate; meets personally with cast members and documents counseling and disciplinary actions.
4. Assists in the interviewing, hiring, and training of Security Supervisors, Security Officers, and Parking Lot Attendants.
5. Assists in the scheduling of Security and parking lot personnel.
6. In conjunction with management, acts to ensure adequate security coverage of all posts.
7. Prepares, files, and submits various reports as required.
8. Inspects posts as scheduled and meets with subordinates to outline tasks and responsibilities.
9. Executes and supervises the company's traffic management plan to ensure traffic flows smoothly and orderly in and out of the parking lot. The Captain will be required to conduct traffic direction and control along with parking lot personnel working closely with local police.
10. Meets with management as scheduled or as needed to provide assurance that all security requirements are being met and to provide quality customer service.
11. As assigned, in accordance with applicable company policies and standard operating procedures and in compliance with state and federal laws, carries out lead or supervisory duties that can include some or all of the following: interviewing, orienting and training cast members; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and, making hiring and termination recommendations.
12. Observe and report incidents, and be able to effectively direct others.

Minimum Qualifications:

-High School Diploma or GED and at least five years of management experience, preferably with a security or law enforcement operation, is required. College degree with a concentration in Criminal Justice preferred.

Must pass a comprehensive background investigation.

A valid driver's license is required for this position.

Other Job Requirements (Including, but not limited to):

-Ability to walk, reach, stand, bend and stoop for long periods of time; climb stairs as needed.
-Must be able to read and write English and possess computer literacy.
-Must be able to work flexible work schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Will be -required to work approximately 50+ hours per week during peak season (June, July, and August).
