Grounds Crew Team Member

Canobie Lake Park is seeking motivated individuals with the following to immediately join our Grounds and Landscaping Department:

  • Landscaping experience including but not limited to leaf blowing, spreading mulch, weeding, weed whacking, pruning, and planting flowers and shrubs
  • Ability to operate walk-behind mowers. Experience operating zero-turn mowers preferred but not required
  • Ability to operate a pressure washer
  • Ability and willingness to collect garbage, debris, and litter
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Ability to take direction and willingness to continue to learn
  • Possess a strong work ethic and safety sensitivity
  • Possess a strong attention to detail

Candidates must have the ability and be willing to:

  • Perform heavy lifting
  • Work in all weather conditions
  • Work varied shifts and schedules, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Be consistent and punctual
  • Walk long distances
  • Perform other physical activities necessary to maintain the Park’s natural beauty
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • DOT Medical Card preferred but not required

Candidates will be required to submit to and pass the following:

  • Criminal background check
  • Motor vehicle operators check

This is a seasonal position. All applicants must be 18+ years of age.  Wages will be commensurate with experience.

Grounds/Property Maintenance Assistant Foreperson

Canobie Lake Park is seeking a motivated individual with the following to immediately join our Grounds and Landscape Department:

  • Basic landscaping experience
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Snow removal and ice management experience
  • Ability to work proficiently as part of a team as well as the ability to supervise, lead, and train a small crew
  • Ability to work well with other supervisors and management
  • Ability to proficiently operate commercial zero-turn style mowers
  • Ability to skillfully operate string trimmers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, and leaf blowers as well as hand tools
  • Ability to operate an aerial boom lift
  • Ability to skillfully and safely operate skid steer loaders and compact excavators
  • Ability to operate a telehandler (Lull) preferred but not required
  • Ability to operate commercial style pressure washers
  • Ability and willingness to be on call during winter months for snow removal operations
  • Ability and willingness to collect garbage, debris, and litter
  • Ability to install retaining walls, drainage pipes, small footings, etc. preferred but not required
  • Possess a strong and passionate work ethic with a sensitivity for safety
  • Possess a strong attention to detail

Candidates must have the ability and be willing to:

  • Work at various heights up to 85 feet
  • Perform heavy lifting
  • Work in all weather conditions
  • Work varied shifts and schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and valid DOT Medical Card. CDL-B preferred but not required.

Candidates will be required to submit to and pass the following:

  • Criminal background check
  • Motor vehicle operators check
  • Pre-employment physical
  • Pre-employment drug test

Full time year round position for the right candidate.  Wages will be commensurate with experience.
