IT SpECIALIST

Canobie Lake Park is seeking a motivated individual to join its IT team as an IT Specialist.  The IT Specialist is a full-time, year-round, mid-level position assisting and supporting the IT activity of numerous Park systems and departments.

Job Functions of an IT Specialist:

  • Assist end users with questions on product installation, usage, and implementation by prioritizing and responding to support requests.
  • Diagnose and resolve end user inquiries, concerns, and issues via phone, e-mail and desk-side visits.
  • Effectively communicate end user issues and concerns to all applicable internal staff members.
  • Document all contacts, actions, and responses in applicable database.
  • Maintain working knowledge and expertise of products and/or services.
  • Assist with build-out and maintenance of the Park’s fiber and copper based network infrastructure.
  • Assist with build-out and maintenance of Park telephone systems including cabling.
  • Assist with other duties as needed.

Job Requirements of an IT Specialist

  • At least 3 years of related experience including: Windows Server; Active Directory; Window/MAC Clients; Firewall Configuration; Cisco switches; VMWare and Back-Up Technologies with a general knowledge of Microsoft Systems (DNS, DHCP).
  • Must have a strong sense for customer service and be guest-centric
  • Must be self-starter and handle a variety of tasks both independently and within a team.
  • Must be familiar with Cisco Switches, SonicWall firewalls.
  • Must have a proven experience using, configuring, and troubleshooting Apple Products in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with POS systems a plus.
  • Experience with copper and fiber cabling/termination a plus, but will teach the right candidate.
  • Must be eager to learn all the technologies used at the park.
  • Must be able to work some evenings and weekends as needed while in season.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background investigation and sign a confidentiality agreement.
  • Must be able lift, stand and carry up to 50lbs.

Ride Mechanic

The Ride Mechanic will inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish amusement rides and their subsystems. This individual will ensure rides and equipment comply with all Canobie Lake Park Corp. and equipment manufacturers’ operating standards and requirements. The Ride Mechanic will perform visual and auditory inspections of rides and attractions. The Ride Mechanic will maintain proper records for all inspections, maintenance and repairs performed.

Requirements

This position requires a background in machine repair, including the ability to maintain, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electro-mechanical systems. Two plus years experience with mechanical/electro-mechanical maintenance on heavy equipment or industrial machinery. Previous theme park experience is a plus but not required. Candidates must possess a strong work ethic and safety sensitivity. This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.

Additional training or background experience in welding, machining and the understanding of electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics and control systems is beneficial. Candidates must possess the ability to read, write and communicate in English to sufficiently perform the key duties of the Ride Mechanic.

The Ride Mechanic must have the ability and be willing to:

  • Ability to climb and work at various heights
  • Perform heavy lifting
  • Work in all weather conditions
  • Work varied shifts and schedules, including nights and weekends
  • Provide hand tools
  • Possess a valid driver’s license

Candidates will be required to submit to and pass the following:

  • Criminal background check
  • Motor vehicle operators check
  • Pre employment physical
  • Pre employment drug test

Entry Level Maintenance Technician

  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude. Some mechanical experience or technical training is preferred but not required.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and safety sensitivity
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Possess the ability to read, write and communicate in English to sufficiently perform the key duties of the Entry Level Maintenance Technician/Helper
  • Ability to climb and work at various heights
  • Perform heavy lifting
  • Work in all weather conditions
  • Work varied shifts and schedules, including nights and weekends
  • Provide basic hand tools
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
