Master/Journeyman Electrician

Canobie Lake Park has maintained the highest standards of family entertainment for over 100 years and is immediately seeking positive self-motivated licensed Master and Journeyman Electricians to join our maintenance team. These are full-time benefited year-round positions.
Responsibilities include:
- Inspecting and maintaining electrical infrastructure throughout the park
- Inspecting and maintaining electrical systems on amusement rides and devices
- Troubleshooting electrical related issues
- Installing and programming electrical drives
- Repairing and refurbishing electrical components
- Maintaining proper records for all inspections, maintenance and repairs
- Wearing proper PPE
- Working in various indoor and outdoor environments in all weather conditions
- Working at heights up to 85 feet
- This is a physical position involving bending over, heavy lifting, kneeling, climbing and navigating stairs
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Strong electrical and/or mechanical aptitude
- Valid New Hampshire Master/Journeyman Electrical License or the ability to obtain within sixty days of hire
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the key duties of a Maintenance
Electrician:
- Provide basic hand tools
- Willingness to work varied shifts and schedules including nights and weekends
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and submit to:
- Criminal background check
- Motor vehicle operators check
- Pre-employment physical and drug test
Preferred experience:
- Formal electrical and/or mechanical training
- Familiarity with high voltage distribution systems is preferred but not required

The Catering Kitchen Manager is a fundamental part of the Food & Beverage management team specifically charged with collaborating with the Executive Chef and the Food & Beverage Manager to oversee all aspects of our Catering operation. The primary responsibilities of the Catering Kitchen Manager are to properly plan for and execute the food preparation for all Catering events, assist with the preparation of large quantities of food for specific locations throughout the Park, train and supervise the Catering kitchen staff, and oversee the logistics of preparing for, executing, and tearing down all Catering events.
Duties and Responsibilities
Event Preparation and Execution:
-
inventory stock weekly and collaborate with the Warehouse team to place orders including meats, produce, herbs, and any other supplies needed to execute all events

manage the thawing and marinating of large amounts of protein; ensure the freshness and the quality of all food products
-
supervise activities of all Team Members engaged in food preparation, set up, and break down of all catering events
-
ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the recipes
-
check the final product before it is delivered to the customer to ensure proper preparation
-
ensure that the catering area is kept clean and in excellent working condition throughout the event
Staffing, Training, and Leadership:
-
identify and train a team of cooks, runners, and servers to serve as the primary staff in the catering kitchen
-
recognize Team Members who go above and beyond
-
address performance problems through corrective action and dismissal
-
develop, mentor, and motivate staff, individually and as a group
-
lead by setting an example of the high standards and expectations that the Canobie Lake Park team upholds
Additional Responsibilities:

establish and maintain a standard operating procedure for the preparation and execution of an event
-
promote and advance a learning culture within the Food & Beverage department

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
1+ years of kitchen management experience required; 3+ years preferred
-
Must have the ability to respond and act quickly in various situations
-
All applicants must be at least 18 years of age
Hours:
- 45-55 hours per will April through August; 30-40 hours per week September through April
-
Applicants can expect to report to work at 6:00 AM, work long days (12-14 hour shifts), and work weekends during peak operational periods (June – August)
