Amusement Park Ride Mechanic
Posted August 2021:
Canobie Lake Park has maintained the highest standards of family entertainment for over 100 years and is currently seeking positive self-motivated individuals to join our ride mechanic team. This is a full-time year-round position with benefits.
Responsibilities include:
- Daily safety inspections of amusement rides
- Perform required preventive maintenance
- Trouble shoot and repair amusement rides and their subsystems
- Maintain proper records for all inspections, maintenance and repairs
- Perform the necessary work while following Canobie’s safety guidelines
- Work at heights up to 80ft
- This is a physical position involving bending over, lifting, kneeling, climbing ladders and navigating stairs
Requirements:
- Mechanic tools (toolbox, wrenches, sockets, pliers, etc.)
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- 1+ year of mechanical job experience
- High degree of mechanical aptitude with focus on safety
- Effective oral and written communication
- Comprehension of safety and policy practices
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must work 40+ hours during the operating season
- Must be able to pass a D.O.T medical exam
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must pass a criminal background check
Knowledge in: (but not required)
- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Electrical
- Bolt torque and grading

Facility/Property Maintenance Technician

Canobie Lake Park has maintained the highest standards of family entertainment for over 100 years and is currently seeking a positive self-motivated facility and property maintenance technician. This is a full-time benefited year-round position. The position requires effective and careful evaluation in response to a broad range of maintenance needs to assist the Facilities Manager with the efficient operation of property.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following areas of routine, preventative and emergency maintenance:
• Basic Carpentry
• Painting and Drywall Repair• Janitorial, Grounds and Snow Removal
• Basic Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC and Appliance RepairRequirements:
- Prior experience in the facilities maintenance field with a minimum of two plus years of related job experience with basic carpentry, electrical and plumbing
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the key dutiesof the position.
- Provide hand and basic power tools
- Willingness to work varied shifts and schedules including nights and weekends
- On-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends and holidays;
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
Candidates will be required to submit to and pass the following:
